The Chef's Difference
Most venues rent you a room and hand you a list of caterers. At Chef's, the food, the service and the venue all come from one team. Our award-winning kitchen builds your menu around you, our coordinators run your day from the first tour to the last dance, and our staff looks after every guest like family. Formerly the Plantation Party House, the venue has been fully renovated inside and out, just 20 minutes from downtown Rochester.

The Space
Fully renovated inside and out, the venue puts a bright banquet hall and beautiful outdoor spaces in one place, 20 minutes from downtown Rochester.
The banquet hall. Recently remodeled, with seating for up to 325 guests, three walls of windows, a large dance floor and a full-service bar. See the banquet hall.
The grounds. Formal gardens, the gazebo, a pond with a fountain, our new stone waterfall and a multi-level deck for ceremonies, cocktail hours and photos. See the grounds.

The People Behind Chef's
Chef's Catering was founded in 2012 by Chef Michael D. Zazzaro. Mike has worked in food service for more than 20 years, starting with a management degree in the culinary arts from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.
His cooking started long before culinary school, in his family's kitchen. Mike's Nana taught him a great deal about cooking at home, and those family traditions are still part of how he cooks today.
That same approach runs through the whole team: plan carefully, take care of every guest, and build long-lasting relationships one client at a time.
Our Kitchen
Every plate at Chef's Event Center comes from Chef's Catering, our in-house team. Menus are built around what you want rather than picked from a fixed card, and the people you plan with are the people who cook for you on the day.
Since 2012, Chef's Catering has grown to include a food trailer and a mobile food truck, and it caters well beyond Rochester, as far east as Utica, south to Ithaca and west to Hamburg.
